The House in Istria - a personal passion!
Our house is approximately 200 years old, built of Istrian Stone, and stands in the heart of Diklic'i.
We have renovated it to the highest standard, but without losing its truly local "spirit of place". And we have ensured that our guests will be as comfortable and relaxed as possible in Istria.
We are passionate about this Croatian house, bringing it back to life with up-to-date fittings whilst still retaining its character with beams and original stonework.
The house has four bedrooms, a hall, lounge, kitchen, utility and downstairs WC and large Istrian terrace. A new swimming pool has been built in the garden.
The rustic style
The lounge features a huge, traditional Istrian fireplace that we occasionally use for cooking.
The kitchen is the heart of our house, and its features are hand-crafted in the traditional Istrian style. If we do have wet weather, meals will be served in the kitchen around the communal table. Usually we will eat outside, under the terrace which surrounds the house. The Croatian weather is wonderful in the summer.
The garden has a large Istrian barbecue and several secluded areas for quiet reading or meditation. At present there is a ruin in the garden which we plan to rebuild in Croatian style the next year or two.
If you find you are missing your favorite shows, we also have TV showing English programmes.
DVDs and games are also available for guests' use, as well as books you can borrow for the length of your stay while on holiday in Croatia.

The rooms are furnished to the highest standards with contemporary furniture. Modern fixtures and fittings throughout and bed linen and towels provided.

The 'Therapy Area' at the retreat
Therapies will be carried out in a secluded, private part of the garden under the terrace.
To have a massage or reflexology overlooking Istrian vineyards brings a wonderful sense of peace and oneness with nature.
In the cooler seasons on your retreat holiday, therapies will be carried out in the guests' own rooms.
